What type of rink is Power Play?
A Single sheet ice rink. In Exton, PA.

What clothing should I wear during Public Skating?
Winter clothing is recommended (i.e. jacket, gloves, long pants). Helmet is recommended for children.

Are hockey sticks and pucks allowed during Public Skating? No.

What equipment is required for SkatingLessons?
We require a helmet of some sort (a bicycle helmet will do) for all skating lessons.

What equipment is required for Ice Hockey programs? Beginner hockey skating school requires helmet, gloves, shin pads, and elbow pads. All other hockey programs require full
equipment. Equipment is available at the Power Play Pro Shop.

What equipment is required for Roller Hockey?
Roller hockey requires helmet, gloves, skates, stick, and shin pads, although full equipment is recommended.

What equipment is required for Lacrosse?
Lacrosse programs require helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, glove, stick, and knee pads.

What equipment is required for Open Hockey?
For youth open hockey full equipment is required at all times.
For adult open hockey, gloves, helmet, and skates are mandatory, full equipment is recommended.

My child has never skated before. What class should they start with?
Your child should start with our Learn to Skate or Tot Lessons.

My child knows how to skate and wants to start playing hockey. What program should they start with?
Your child should enroll in beginner hockey skating skills/ learn to play hockey.

What if my child wants to play more competitive ice hockey?
Once your child has completed Learn to Play Hockey and is
ready for the next step, we recommend joining the cross ice program. We also have a travel program, The King Ice Hockey Club for players looking for an even greater challenge.

My child has taken Learn to Skate and would like to be a hockey player, what is my childs’ next step?
Your next step would be Learn to Play Hockey or Cross Ice, depending on the child’s skating ability.

What type of skates should my child begin skating with, ice hockey skates or figure skates?
We recommend the child begin skating on figure skates. The child planning on playing hockey will be put in hockey skates after they have acquired basic skills on figure skates.
